August Gratitude List:

I am grateful for ice cream.

I am grateful for unrushed family time.

I am grateful for Crazy Eights card games that teach kids math facts.

I am grateful for pooltime on Long Island.

I am grateful for my health and vitality.

I am grateful for Schitt’s Creek.

I am grateful for white wine while watching the girls play in the pool.

I am grateful for potent, special times with my parents.

I am grateful Steve and I can watch an episode of The Crown in the middle of the day.

I am grateful for lifelong friends and new friends.

I am grateful for a slower pace and a diminished sense of urgency.

I am grateful to be alive.

I am grateful for ice cream. (Yes, I begin and end with ice cream.)

FEELING gratitude for our lives makes our lives much more pleasant to experience.

In this time of mystery and uncertainty, remember that what we focus on expands. So focus on what you are grateful for and watch how your experience in life changes for the better.

None of us know what the rest of this year will look like. Fill up the space of that uncertainty with gratitude for what is right in front of you.

Wishing you a slow-paced, easy, and ice cream-filled end of August.
